Golden Age, one of the most beautiful hotels in Athens, has recently been left in the hands of interiors experts for an impressive refurbishment that has faithfully followed the spirit of urban simplicity and the charm of austere elegance that has characterized the hotel over the last forty years of its existence.
Contemporary boldness
The lobby of a hotel is its aesthetic signature, the introduction to a story about to be written, the first impression in a relationship that may last forever. In the case of the Golden Age, it could not be left to chance. A trendy character, a special temperament and a love for luxury are the characteristics of the three hand tufted rugs especially created in space-specific design and colors. Their 100% wool fabrication gives the tone of exceptional quality and attention to detail that characterizes Aslanoglou’s choices for all areas of the hotel.

Earthy feel
The 25 m2 fireplace area with its neutral and minimal aesthetic approach to natural materials and a relaxing color palette, was lined with a wicker Java by Tasibel carpet made with sisal (40%) & wool (60%), bringing in a sense of comfort, while ensuring the exceptional durability required in a space with high traffic.

Second nature
The hotel rooms were left to the modern flooring technology of ID Inspiration by Tarkett: The vinyl strips that follow the form, texture and shade of wood covered a total of 1,500 m2 with the warmth and coziness needed in spaces providing privacy and relaxation.

A different narrative
The special anthracite grey color of the hotel’s corridors gives the feeling of connection and of a common thread through the use of Flux by Desso, a polyamide carpet in tiles covering a total of 500 m2 of corridors.

Bold personality
A distinctive batik feel was chosen for the hotel’s ballroom and conference areas, as it is imprinted on a carpet with a standard polyamide design. Desso and Ex by Desso carpets covered the impressive 400 m2 with their original but distinctive design.

Whispering elegance
Toucan T’s Real One 6230 carpet, with a standard polyamide design, was chosen to cover the 200m2 of the hotel’s multipurpose room with a modern and simple pattern that allows the space to impose its personality in a free and gorgeous manner.

Wild heart
The luxurious materials and natural appearance of the hotel’s wall elements couldn’t have found a better canvas on which to bloom than the Arte International wallpapers that covered 1600 m2 of walls with the simplicity of natural materials and the durability of high-tech know-how.
