A love and admiration for Barcelona artist Santi Moix and his work, has led prominent rugs Company leader Nani Marquina to create a collection that serves as the ultimate tribute. The artists parallelism between life and death is shown through his biomorphic flowers, with color becomes the resource to enhance and attenuate certain details while paying special attention to those intermediate processes in flowers where color either explodes or is just about to bloom or decay. Backyard is a literal representation of one of Moix’s works, in which the original piece has been transferred as reliably as possible to a rug. Its name refers to the natural space behind a house, where the flora is wilder.
