Paulistano by Objekto
Αrmchair designed by Paulo Mendes de Rocha in 1957 for the lounges of the famous Athletic Club of Sao Paolo. With leather, mesh or canvas, the constructivist concept of the structure made up from a single bended bar of steel and its cover procure to this armchair an aesthetic lightness and an incomparable comfort.
The Paulistano armchair emerges from the past to show that the purity and the elegance of its lines are timeless. A 20th century masterpiece, until now this armchair was accessible to only collectors.
2006 Architecture Pritzker Price Laureate, exhibited in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, MoMA since December of 2007.
Today it is being reproduced exclusively by Objekto. In Greece by AslanoglouCC.
