All the big names in interior design – including 5 of our suppliers – were present in this year’s high end design biennale at Kortrijk in Belgium – greige being the king of colors followed by light tones of grey and beige which seem to always be in blossom along with safe taupe browns and anthracite – forget the lilac as citrus emerald and turquoise are taking over as tone colors – night blue coming in line – shiny natural materials in excess – nice and welcome change to see round rugs abound.
The hosts and hostesses of each edition of the international Interieur Design Biennial are clothed by a Belgian designer – uniforms have on previous occasions been designed by Walter Van Beirendonck, Kaat Tilley and Xavier Delcour – Black Balloon has been chosen for the Interior 2010 uniform – Cléo Baele and Sarah Bos are the creative brains behind this young Ghent-based label.
